Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. It can cause a variety of effects such as blurred vision, loss of balance, poor coordination, slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, problems with memory and concentration, paralysis, blindness and more. They can be permanent or may come and go. MS effects about 20,000 in the Lone Star State and about half a million in the US.

The 2008 Valero MS 150 is a 150 mile two day ride from the AT&T center in San Antonio to Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi with an overnight stay in Beeville.
